The professed objective of Zott GmbH & Co. Kg, Mertingen was to considerably shorten in-house conveying distances and to do away with external warehouses.

Therefore, the experienced general contractor SSI Schäfer was charged with the simultaneous erection of a new air-conditioned, 9-aisle combined high bay warehouse for finished goods, raw materials, auxiliary materials and additives, as well as with the parallel modernization of the existing 9-aisle warehouse.

The warehouse management system "ant" with its high availability - developed by SSI Schäfer - was installed in order to achieve the best possible system dependability.
