Salomon Automation Becomes a Member of SSI Schaefer

SSI Schaefer’s acquisition of Salomon Automation highlights the group’s leading position in the field of intralogistics. Salomon will be an independent member company within the Schaefer Group, with unchanged management.

The two companies announced that SSI Schaefer will acquire the entire Salomon Automation group of companies – subject to approval by authorities. Both companies are successful participants in the market for automated logistics systems. Part of the Schaefer group of companies, SSI Schaefer Noell in Giebelstadt (Germany) and SSI Schaefer Peem in Graz (Austria) specialize in complex logistics systems and picking technologies, and look forward to welcoming another proven, innovative partner. The three companies will be supported by production facilities in Graz and Hranice (CZ) where production focuses on the manufacture of automation components. Production capabilities in Hranice are currently being expanded to 60,000m2. With its worldwide distribution and service organization, SSI Schaefer continues to be a future oriented and reliable partner to its customers, with an extensive portfolio of product offerings and comprehensive solutions.
A virtually unlimited value chain within the group allows it to respond quickly and competently to the ever-changing requirements of the market.
With its WAMAS logistics software and facilities in Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Spain, Salomon Automation is a provider of complete systems.
